How to get the source code

Viewgram is a modified version of Telegram for iOS and is likewise released under the GNU GPL v2. Any third party, not only users of this app, can get the complete corresponding source code of this version: ask through Settings › About & Feedback › Send Feedback and we provide it free of charge (at most the actual cost if physical media has to be sent). This offer is valid for at least three years from the release of this version.

You can also email support@viewgram.org to ask for it; please give the version and build number (shown in the app under Settings › About & Feedback).

Public repository

There is no public source repository yet. Once one is published, its address will be linked on this page. Until then, please ask for the source as described above.

Licenses and third-party notices

Viewgram is a modified version of Telegram for iOS (GNU General Public License version 2, GPLv2) and is also released under GPLv2. Other open-source components and models in the app are under their own licenses, including sherpa-onnx (Apache-2.0), ONNX Runtime (MIT), SenseVoice-Small (FunASR model license, attribution required), ReazonSpeech k2 v2 (Apache-2.0), Silero VAD (MIT) and FFmpeg (LGPL v2.1). See Settings › About & Feedback › Credits & Licenses in the app.

The LICENSE file provided with the source is the full GPL v2 text; the NOTICE file lists every component contained in or linked into the app, its version and where its license text lives. FFmpeg (LGPL v2.1), rlottie (LGPL v2.1) and tgcalls (LGPL v3) are statically linked, and NOTICE explains how to relink with modified sources; most other components are under BSD, MIT or Apache 2.0 licenses. The speech-recognition models (SenseVoice-Small, ReazonSpeech k2 v2, Silero VAD) are not part of the app bundle and are downloaded at first use.

The Viewgram name, icon and brand assets are trademarks and brand assets that the GPL does not grant; Telegram is a trademark of its owner.
